iPhone/iPad:
Simply just look at the upper right hand corner of the screen. If you see the below icon, you are connected to WiFi:
Please Note: The darker the icon is, the stronger the connection. The lighter the icon is/if it is not darkened at all, the slower the connection.
If you don’t see the WiFi icon and instead you see “LTE”, "5G", “4G’, or “3G”, etc. then you are on that displayed connection type.
Android phones/tablets:
Simply go to the Home screen and just look at the top right hand corner of the screen. If you see the below icon, you are connected to WiFi:

If you don’t see the WiFi icon and instead you see “LTE”, "5G", “4G’, or “3G”, etc. then you are on that displayed connection type. On some Android devices, you might see the WiFi icon along with another connection type. As long as you see the WiFi icon, you are connected via WiFi.
